Dad and I are gonna try to make it out on Sunday morning around 10:00. Anyone else gonna be there? I think that is the best shot for decent weather. Gonna try to test fly the Shrike...

Anyone flying this weekend? Shrike-1

Anyone flying this weekend? Shrike2-1

ST .40? Dad has one and flys wickedly! More stable than a bat but very similar.

Linda, Dylan and I are going out Saturday evening to work on the food corner of the building for the Giant Fly.

What size Shrike was is your dads? Mine is the .10 size (yes, with a ST .40, Razz). How did he have it powered? I'm curious to see what happens with mine and if I should add more tail weight. It's a little nose heavy now, but I don't want to add much more weight because the wing loading now is a bit high. I might be kidding myself and it will crumble under the G's anyway, but it will be exciting no matter what! Wink

I keep thinking about flying tomorrow too, but with gas prices as they are... eh...

I'm taking two unflown airplanes tomorrow. Kind of like a maiden flight day.

No, one of then does not have three wings.

Maybe this coming week though.

Had a lot of fun today! Dad test flew his Zippity-do-da and I test flew the Shrike with no issues. Both are very 'speedy'. Wink Also learned a few new things with the Dazzler. FUN! Very Happy

Dad's Gee Bee engine gremlins continued, but maybe we will have found the air leak by next time.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day and if it wasn't for this headache, I would probably still be there.

Yes, it was fun. Zippy, was best described as uneventful. Didn't even take much trim. The exciting part was after everyone left we got the engine running fast enough to make the elevons flutter. It's an odd looking thing in the air but flies like a trainer.

Looking forward to next weekend and the huge, fantastic, FORKS Giant Fly In.
